About my art:
I tend to favor organic materials in my work. I have been using the "Found Object" and "Mixed Media" genres for many years and find them most satisfying. A piece seldom starts with a set idea in mind-- I just start collecting interesting objects, begin to play and let my subconscious mind go where it will. The piece eventually tells me what to do next (most of the time).One of my favorite sayings is "Start a piece as a child and finish as an artist". In other words: don't control things too much at the beginning.. .
